Living In The Moment Artist Spotlight
vulpesarctica November Artist
How long have you been drawing? I've been drawing as long as I can remember! I grew up on the internet in the late 90s and early 00s, and once I discovered digital art and fandom were things that existed I never looked back. I've been drawing and sharing my art on the internet consistently since probably around 2003 or so.
When did you start drawing Star Wars art? I think this started around 2016 after discovering some SW fanfic via Tumblr. I'd read fanfiction on and off since my early teens but this one immediately grabbed me and I loved getting more involved in this corner of the fandom and contributing art to it. I was a Prequels child, being 8 when TPM came out, so I was already a general fan, but this really kickstarted my Star Wars obsession in earnest!
What kind of art do you most like to create? Honestly, because I'm also creative for my day job, a lot of my art at the moment is just various iterations of drawing Obi-Wan to relax! He's what I draw when I don't know what else to draw. I like making portraits/standalone character pieces and I'm constantly trying to refine my style.

Tall Tales they Tell
@vulpesarctica for you, in thanks for this post and this one.
There’s a bunch of thugs - various races all having a drink in a seedy cantina, somewhere on the Rim when one of their - not friends, they don’t have friends but an acquaintance most of them have run with stumbles into the room with shell-shocked eyes The Gran urges him to sit, the rodian gets up and brings him a drink and they all wait to hear the tale where he’s been, who he met to put that look in his eyes he drowns his sorrows in three mugs of paint-stripper then looks up and begins to tell them a tale inconceivable He’d been running with a crew; one of the slaver few they’d been hailed by a ship; thought to take advantage come alongside the Firebird and prepared to board “You fool!” interrupts an older Zabrak with a missing eye “Didn’t you know that is the ship of the pirate Kenobi?” The tale-teller winces, gestures with his new mug of ale “I didn’t, not then. And so we jumped over to the ship all of us thinking it would be a quick and easy mission we were met by the captain - hair like fire, eyes like oceans and I coveted the sword at his side; my leader his figure“ “He drew out the hilt from it’s scabbard; a sword without a blade and we laughed closing in on him; but then there was a hiss blue light; I thought only jedi had the swords like that but no here was one in the hands of a pirate; he walked with no fear and the blue light of his blade lit up his face, his devilish grin. I ran - I’m not ashamed of it, and considering I was the only crew member to survive I think it was for the best I did so...” He trails off and takes another drink only to startle as a voice smooth and low purrs “But darling, it was so rude of you to leave” His eyes go wide; a half turn reveals none other than Kenobi Tales they tell of the pirate with the wicked grin and seafoam eyes Of his fierce blade; his quick wit - and they hope by telling them Tall, by telling them true that the Firebird will never appear on their Flank, that they won’t see that bright-wild grin that heralds demise In voices low across the galaxy word spreads of the pirate Kenobi
RDR OC: Dana Pryor Got this INCREDIBLE art done of one of my newer oc’s, Dana, from the insanely talented @vulpesarctica! Dana originally started out as a Rainbow Six character, but @brutal-beckett is a terrible and wonderful influence and convinced me to transfer her over for RDR as well to run wild with Ariadne’s gang, so, here she is! I literally can’t tear my eyes away from this!Â
FINALLY GOT MY TRASH LORD TATTOO thanks to @vulpesarctica for drawing and designing him đź’•đź’–đź’•đź’–
In a few days I'm going to put my Etsy prices up a little - I'm not thrilled about it but everything is just costing a bit more at the moment, so I have to adjust accordingly.
A4 prints will go from ÂŁ7.50 to ÂŁ8.00. A5 prints will go from ÂŁ5.50 to ÂŁ6.00. Stickers will go from ÂŁ2.70 to ÂŁ2.75.
If there's something you've had your eye on, I'll be making the change on Tue 3rd May, so you've still got the weekend and Monday to order it at the cheaper price! I have all the stickers above in stock, along with my Star Wars tarot prints and some other bits and pieces.
Visit my Etsy shop here: Snow Fox Trading Co.
PS. I know Etsy has its issues, and I would eventually like to make the transition to my own site, although obviously this will take a fair amount of time and work on my part. I'm looking at Shopify. If anyone has any recommendations or experience with this, I'd love to hear about it!
