The recent Supreme Court ruling that says trans women are not women is not just legally wrong — it’s deeply hurtful and dangerous. If, according to the law, I’m “not a woman,” then by that logic, these breasts I live in and carry should belong to a man. So, does that mean I should be allowed to walk around bare-chested in public because I’m “technically” a man now? This absurd contradiction exposes how disconnected the law is from real people’s lives.
This ruling strips away our identity and undermines our rights, telling us that our bodies, our experiences, and our very existence are invalid. It puts trans people at greater risk of discrimination, violence, and exclusion. We don’t ask for special treatment — just basic respect, dignity, and the freedom to be who we are without fear or shame.
Recognizing trans women as women is not a threat; it’s a necessary step toward justice and equality. Our bodies and our identities deserve to be seen, respected, and protected.
