@guts-kun / @slumberingprinces what made matters worse (better?) was that she was in costume, so that means a corset and breasts pushed up to her chin practically, and the with way most pub stands are made at the faire, they have their counters stand at least five feet even, so me being 5'5" I was standing on my tip toes trying to drink this while her boobs were staring me in the face and she was cooing at me and I KNOW it’s the schtick to bring in customers but oh my god my queer ass was in DANGER

@vulpining sexual tension aside it was really fun and the drink was actually very tasty!! It reminded me a lot of this raspberry beer I drink sometimes called lindeman framboise. If you ever get the chance to attend a faire like this with one of these pubs, I fully recommend it!

Jack as a self-made god would make a lot of sense considering his canon history as well. A greedy nobody - a brilliant nobody - who took control of Hyperion and then within such short time became an idol to the company. So much so they had tours of his old office. That's all the makings there you'd need to spark something. Become the leader, spark some envy, some hero-worship. Give the other nobodies someone to look up to - to worship - and you've got yourself a god. One that outlived his life

Yeah, I think so! I mean, don’t quote me on this, but doesn’t he even say something along these lines toward the end of BL2? That godhood was the ultimate goal of finding vaults? And Opportunity was nothing if not a temple to himself, even more than Helios was. Even if he didn’t say so specifically, it fits thematically - Jack’s goal has always been more, every step of the way, and you can see the results of the cult of personality he built around himself in TFTBL.

But yeah I think self-made is one of his key character components, to be sure. :)
