Dean knew all the tricks for flying under the radar. He'd been living that way for most of his life, from one scam to the next when money was scarce. Bartending under the table, hustling pool, stealing credit cards. He wouldn't know what to do with a bank account if he had one. There were safer places to hide his money. A search on his real name would pull up all sorts of unsavory shit, from grave robbing to murder. Only the first one was true, unless they were calling killing monsters murder.
"Take your time. I'm not in a rush." He had half a mind to poke around a little while she was in the back. He was pretty good at thinking of bullshit excuses off the cuff for why he was somewhere he shouldn't be. That invitation landed about as well as he'd expected, and he grinned as he made an obvious show of looking around, leaning a little toward her. There was literally no one else there, not even a couple old dudes drinking the day away. "Then there's no one around to see, is there?"
He leaned back into his own space while she made up her mind, and he was interested to see what she decided. He could work with a brush off, but it would be easier if she wanted to spend more time with him. He thanked her for the drink, sliding the glass a little closer and taking a sip. "I'll be here. Be a crime to let you go out alone after all that, and I need someone to show me the town." From what he'd seen, there wasn't a lot of town to show, but that was hardly the point. If it turned out she had absolutely nothing to do with his case, he still got to spend an evening with a beautiful woman.
"Ah, but big brother is always watching," she replied with a grin, pointing up toward the camera above them. It was why she had to be so careful with what she did. Move slowly, which was extremely hard to do. She hadn't realized how slow she moved when she was a human, since she could move much faster than she did when she was a human. Maybe pointing out cameras to the only other person in the bar was a bad thing, but she didn't get any kind of weird vibe from him. He was flirtatious, sure, but at least he was cute and flirtatious. She didn't know if she could handle another old guy making comments about her tits without wanting to snap their neck.
"There isn't much to show, must be directionally challenged if you're having a hard time navigating." Her words are paired with a teasing tone and grin, arching an eyebrow before she looked over her shoulder when she heard a door in the back open -- hearing her co-worker before he even stepped into the room. A few moments passed before he stepped out, and she let out a soft sigh. "Thank fuck," she mutters under her breath -- before her nose wrinkled when she realized she was still standing in front of a customer. "I'll -- be back in a bit." She offered a smile before moving toward her coworker. She took him by the shoulder with a normal greeting, before locking eyes with him. "Don't bother me for the next...fifteen minutes." Compulsion was so great -- she didn't use it often, but she did it when she knew she needed to take care of some not-so-human-stuff. "And make sure that guy gets his food." She smiles and pats him on the head before she disappears into the back.
With a co-worker here, Viv grabbed her blood bag and carefully slips out of the back door. She needed to figure out a better way to do this, maybe having a...hydro-flask or something. She glances around before ducking behind the dumpster to finish her meal for the afternoon.
