There are a lot of temporary traffic lights around where I live at the moment, and my new favourite driving game when I'm waiting at one is to read out loud the last 3 letters on the numberplates of the cars coming towards me. (UK numberplate format is AB12 ABC for those across the pond). And as I was doing this I realised that I just sounded like Book Crowley.

Craig Hawkins - Chasing the Wind
Craig Hawkinds created a series called Chasing the Wind, these are only a few of the many he made. these works of art explore the idea of ‘Superventions’. the definition of Supervene is to come or occur as something extraneous, additional, or unexpected. This art conveys supervene successfully with the mix of mediums, color, and movement.
The Beginning - Kai Samuels
I find Kai Samuels Work inspirational for the mix of realistic oil renderings of a person and its representation of movement. this is something i want to learn how to portray in my own work. this painting was made in 2013, and has a more earth tones color scheme, most of the more recent art works incorporate more colors and represent motion differently, with a stationary seeming figure and more exciting paint strokes.
Vanessa Mckeown - Party Food
This photo series is very inspirational to me, specifically for the strong color pallet and minimalist aspects. The common theme of vibrant colors in Mckeown’s work is very appealing to me. The compositions of the photographs are usually fairly simple, and the sculptures always seem to have a abstract quality to them that make them very appealing.
frances waite- another artist i found on instagram who i rlly admire!!! again, i love her use of color and her paintings are all rlly wonderful. she does a lot of nude drawings which i rlly like & she has inspired me to draw more for myself!!! also i rlly like how she uses her art to be open about her sexuality.
