A chance to make collages of a wonderful weekend with friends and our annual gathering at the Victoria Whisky Festival in January. • Part 1 - Friday/Saturday • Journey over to Victoria on BC Ferries in a mild January day. • Pre-dram dramming with the #whiskyfabric; delicious Westland Whiskey Garryana, finally got a chance to taste a spicy Bowmore Devil’s Cask, and a wide selection of drams to try • Learning lineup! A nice range of whiskies to try and go into depth • Friday night Grand Tasting with Old Pulteney, Scotland’s most northeasterly distillery. I discovered the 12YO on the recommendation by a barman and have wanted to try more so was chuffed to get into this class. • A beautiful Saturday with a chance to get out in between classes for meals and some fresh air • GlenAllachie - a distillery that had its barrels go into blends but with a change of ownership, now bottled under its own name as well as some other brands. An enjoyable discovery and perhaps a peated one I might buy for myself (MacNairs 12YO) • Compass Box has developed quite a following for blended whisky. A great opportunity to taste a range and ogle over packaging 😍 • Northern Border Collection with Dr. Don Livermore.
