Book 1

Prologue: Kate’s dying wish

Alec searches far and wide for the brooch he lost.

Show Emma interacting with Kyle at the office. A blonde maxes out his credit card at the store as she and Kyle make fun of him. Kyle says it’s his best friend Ethan, who he’s been giving discounts to.

Emma, Valerie, and Felix enter Vytar. They train and raise dragons.

Felix notices odd behavior between the way Elliot and Cornelius treat Bernie. Cornelius nags Bernie for being too much of a pacifist. Elliot treats Bernie with resentment.

Book 1 Big Moment: Bernie is their father, Izabela kidnaps Eugene.

Book 2

The group brings Genevra and Ethan to Vytar and explain everything to them.

Emma also takes Kyle to Vytar. Bernie and Cornelius disapprove. She also accepts Isaac’s proposal to help the team, despite protests.

Felix starts having special private lessons with Bernie regarding his memory retrieval. He starts collecting Cyril’s memories with his family and Idryll.

Emma starts communication with a mysterious messenger from an outside kingdom. He goes by Bloodshed and he guides the Royal Court towards the Natyan’s attacks.

Victor starts making more frequent campaign trips. Felix and Ethan sometimes come with him. Ethan meets his cousin Geraldine and finds himself taken with Princess Maery.

Felix visits the library often and Bernie takes in an assistant, Martin.

While Emma is distracted (but also suspicious of him), Victor destroys the brooch.

Emma comes face to face with Izabel. “You could be a good queen.”

Victor directs a killing shot towards Genevra before Isaac jumps in.

The team are knocked unconscious by Victor. Alec is revealed to be Bloodshed and arrives to take them home via Fading.

This earns him his first brownie point with Bernie.

Felix recovers Isaac’s memories.

Book 2 Big Moment: Victor is the traitor. Sophie and Isaac die. The Royal Court are crowned in rebellion. Isaac and Sophie are honored with a royal portrait in the Royal Gallery.

Book 3

At the ball, Alec crashes the ball and introduces himself to Emma.

Victor’s betrothal to Izabela is announced.

The team decides to split up with their worldly duties after Felix sees Victor’s plans. Felix, Alec, Genevra, and Ethan remain on Vytar to carry out political duties. Emma, Kyle, Eugene, and Valerie embark on an Earth mission.

Emma gifts Alec, Martha, and Marcus a cottage before leaving.

Bernie visits Falena, who is bitter until she sees their son. Falena offers Felix her crown and eventually, he declines.

Kyle wishes to visit the Philippines and help out with his powers. Emma is conflicted on whether or not she wants to join him on the mission.

Alec comes to Earth to lecture Emma.

Emma and Kyle break up.

Book 3 Big Moment: Cornelius dies

Cornelius funeral

Emma recklessly visits other kingdoms without telling her father (non-political visits)

Emma finds out that Alec had been Bloodshed all along. “I owe you my life.” “Not as much as the world owes you, Emma.” They almost kiss. He sighs and bows to her, “Your Grace” and walks away

Alec goes to Cornelius’ grave and apologizes to him

Mid-battle, Emma (while riding on Idryll) saves Alec from falling off Xandyr. It was a blow from Victor for thwarting him. She seizes Alec, I can’t afford to lose you goddamnit. They kiss.
