So I got to meet the playwright for the play we did...
On Saturday night, for our third (and next to final) performance of our play, W;t (pronounced as “wit”), the playwright came to see us. She was extremely nice and approachable, and before the show, we got to talk for about 5-10 minutes. She was asking me about my involvement in theatre, my major, and stuff like that. I told her that I'm an English major, and how I wanted to go into play writing. She told me that writing stuff for our original productions at school will help me get noticed. We had just met, and she was already so supportive of my vision.
After the show, when I asked her to sign my copy of the script, she signed it:
"For Katelyn
I'm listening for your voice!"
As someone who is struggling to get her voice out there, this meant so much.
This opportunity was incredible. It was such an honor to meet her, and only good things were said about our production by her and the critics that came. I’m honestly so overjoyed to have taken part in this production. I will forever cherish this script.

It is stunning and beautiful.
As a cancer survivor there are pieces of this play and the movie that I deeply I connect to.
I am at a point in my survivorship that I am actively looking at how cancer is represented in film and literature. I cannot express enough that this is not something to watch if you are not mentally there yet. (As always message me if you want to chat cancer)
Tommy clinging onto Wilburs leg and Wilbur telling him to get off or he'll kick him and then kicking him is actually the most sibling thing ever
