If I could change anything about the world, it be about how people are being labeled and bullied because of it. If you are into video games and books and are extremely good in school you are a dork or a teachers pet. If you are a female and have multiple guy friends then you are labeled as a hoe or what is known as a thot which means that hoe over there. There are dozen of things that you can be labeled with and majority of the time once labeled, you'll face some type of bullying because of it. I decided to interview my sister about her experience being bullied because she was labeled and this is her story. My sister began getting bullied in third grade all the way up until eighth grade. She was the kind of student that would do really well in school and have a friendship with her teachers. When other kids saw this they decided to label my sister as an overall nerd. This label had practically became part of her name. She was known as Angie but instead known as Angie the nerd. So along with her label my sister faced other ways of bullying. Angie received the casual name callings like loser, teachers pet, a follower, and more. Not only was there name calling but she received indirect exclusion from her classmates. Her overall form of bullying was by being ignored and treated as an outcast by her classmates. The way that Angie overcame bullying was by hanging out around her teachers and reading a lot. To her, this was her safe space. This was what helped her cope with the bullying. Angie doesn't support the idea of bullying someone because of the label that was given to them. However, she does support someone labeling themselves because thats how they identify themselves. Her message to those that have been labeled and bullied is find there safe space, find a place where you can be yourself and be comfortable. All in all, this was my sisters story and this was my message. By the time you read this I just want you to think to yourself, do you want to end this cycle of bullying?
