This is my last day before maternity leave! In Denmark everyone who's employed by the government (like healthcare workers) have the right to start maternity leave 8 weeks before birth. You'll be paid your usual salary for the weeks until you given birth and then 6 month after that. Then you can either go back to work or stay at home another 6 month at a lesser pay. Like a lot less, but still manageable. It's really complicated but I think that's how it works. If you choose to only have 6 months leave, you can have the last 6months later (before the child is 9 years of age). Som chooses to have 'drip maternity leave' where they are on leave 1 day a week. Anyways. I'm going for the full year I think.
