ovw as a media ? i fucking Love it. i love the story behind it, i love the characters that fill the world, i love the whole concept of it---but the FANDOM itself? the ovwrpc ? i. think it could stand to be a little more inviting of duplicates / RPing with more than one version of the same muse, as well as a little less smut-oriented. like. i’ve noticed that people who DON’T go wild w/ dirty prompts & shit don’t get as much attention, whereas people who constantly reblog N5FW memes are bombarded with anons.

...not to mention, tbh, i’ve caught sight of people who seem to just... IGNORE the PERSONALITY of the muse they’ve picked up, just for the chance to get more smut out of them.

which, like, YEAH, i hope they’re having FUN, & i’m sincerely not trying to police how people play their muses, i. just. i’ve seen a lot of incredibly talented writers get IGNORED & subsequently DISCOURAGED because they prefer to build up to such interactions w/ meaningful threads, as opposed to immediately encouraging N5FW content as it’s dropped into their inboxes.

i mean, YEAH, we all have fun on sinday, but. like. ...this fandom is too over-the-top sometimes. i strongly commend people who express creativity through writing, & i am a big fan of headcanons & different interpretations of muses, but---when the very foundation of a character is thrown out the window, you can’t say you’re interested in playing THAT CHARACTER.
