BOSTON - The National Hockey League announced today, November 14, that Boston Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask has been named the NHL "First Star" for the week ending Nov. 13.

Rask started four games for the Bruins this week, compiling a 4-0-0 record with a 0.75 goals against average, .970 save percentage and two shutouts. He made 32 saves in the Bruins' 4-0 win over Buffalo at TD Garden Monday night and then stopped 15-of-17 shots in Boston's 5-2 home win vs. Columbus Thursday night. The 29-year-old netminder also started both games of a road back-to-back this weekend, stopping 31-of-32 shots in the Bruins' 2-1 win at Arizona Saturday night before stopping all 20 shots he faced in the team's 2-0 win at Colorado Sunday night. Rask's impressive play has helped the Bruins vault to second place in the Atlantic Division standings.  

In 11 games this season, the Savonlinna, Finland native has compiled a 10-1-0 record and is tied for the league lead in wins (10) and shutouts (3), ranks third in goals against average (1.54) and fourth in save percentage (.945).
