Oveta Culp Hobby left an incredible legacy, from women’s expanded role in the military to getting a new US Government department up and running.

June 15, 1942 The Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps is created. Oveta Culp Hobby would use the WAACs to expand women’s roles in the military.
