For WAAPA graduate @longlukearnold , being front and centre in the small screen adaptation of Chris Hammer’s bestselling Australian novel, Scrublands, is a collision of his own two worlds. The Black Sails star is also an author, of three fantasy novels published around the world in multiple languages. In Sunday’s STM, he tells @screen_queen_clare that this new role came at the perfect time, as he balances acting gigs with devoting time to his burgeoning writing career. In Scrublands, which premieres on Thursday on @stanaustralia , Arnold plays journalist, Martin Scarsden, dispatched to a small town to do a story a year on from the local priest shooting dead five of his congregation.
