Waiting for the Wabanaki maple syrup bottle to dry so I can fill it with Wabanaki maple sugar crystals… I must have patience!
I wanted to try having tea time with my ancestors and local spirits, finding a tea blend that would work for my path. Apple, a fruit often associated with the Otherworld in Celtic mythologies, blueberries being a really important food for my Quebecois folks and Ilnu and Mi’kmaq people as well, rose hips being associated with the Virgin Mary, and lavender for sleep. Of course, I’ll be using the maple sugar crystals in it to sweeten the deal, perhaps even use it as an enhancer for my dearly departed who enjoyed maple sugar during their life.
I hope I can instill dreams with this tea where I can do ancestor meetings and receive messages.
I also really want Wabanaki’s Cedar infused maple syrup. So many opportunities for this in my witch’s pantry.
