THIS is why I'm so addicted to fanfiction, ok. The show itself just zips by, line after line after hilarious line casually building these histories for these characters, call backs to things from previous episodes that reinforce these things. It's the nature of the format, a half hour comedy, that doesn't allow for a lot of expanding upon these things. It's all left to the imagination. Every. Single. Episode. Has multiple scenes that I CRAVE more of, that I need to see expanded upon. (It's my greatest wish, one that will never happen, that suddenly the show changes to an hour long).
THE WHOLE STRIPPER THING, THE WHOLE THING (it's how i paid for med school, and it allowed me to pay off my mom's mortgage)
Basically the ENTIRE list scene
um, Thirsty camel, anyone?
"no danny i don't want to see your coin collection" huh, what :P
Mindy's "hair for curses" comment :P
Vulnerable Mindy - which I loved, bc no woman on the planet could be 100% secure in a relationship that's already had so much turbulence, but SHE SAID IT, which is important for her, because communication has always been their problem in the past, and then he reassured her, which is what she needed *more sobbing*
Some people didn't like this episode (I mean, they liked it, of course, but they've observed that there have been tighter ones), because it felt rushed, and it sort of did. That's one thing I think TMP needs to work on, pacing, trying to fit too much into such tiny episodes (omfg why isn't it just an hour?!? *even more sobbing*). Frequently it's so quick, I miss a TON just glancing down at my phone to tweet.
But, you know what, I feel like TMP is a show tailor made for rewatches and binging on fanfiction (writing and reading). I literally never REwatch episodes of ANY other show (and I rewatch the hell out of TMP), and I rarely read fanfiction for other fandoms (and ya'll know how far I've fallen down that rabbit hole). Just sayin'
