when you talked about thadpreston you mentioned that the two of them could talk about movies because thad and wade could fill different nerd niches and so on. and while thad and wade obviously have diferent tastes and will want to talk about diferent things with preston, i think it's on script writing and movie production that thad has an obvious and fundamental role: being a little bitch
if there's something art school taught me is that a project's worst nightmare is an excited but inexperienced team with zero self-control. from when they're filming the impulse movies we can see that wade and preston have a good grasp on story structure, but also, what's the theme of the story? why use this villain and not something else? why does the hero have to be impulse? etc.
i think thad could point out all of these thematic inconsistencies and help preston and wade make something much more cohesive. he would also give the worst possible solutions
