Fanon vs Canon nuanced statement - I just want my non-Bat faves to stop getting mischaracterized in fanworks just to glaze and prop up Bats, because I cannot filter these types of content out because it is so widespread, and no such universal fanon tag exists, this is heartbreaking to me as I love comics for their depth and nuance. Additionally, much of fanon is largely based around misogyny, racism, classism, sexism, queerphobia and xenophobia; all of which make fandom NOT FUN. I am tired of having to see posts all the time from non-comic readers saying how much my favorite characters SUCK, the comics suck, or that certain events happened when they didn't.

I hope I can ask this but how do you write so much so fast? NOTE THAT I AM NOT ACCUSING YOU OF USING AI I HAVE BEEN READING YOUR WORK BEFORE AI EVEN WAS IN USE AND I KNOW YOU CAN WRITE LIKE THIS.
I have so many fic ideas but when I try to write them I stare at a blank page for hours then give up. How do you do it?
See. I KNEW someone might equate my "fast writing" with gen ai in some way (no I am not offended nor do I think this is bait).
The thing is, I am NOT a "fast writer", I write a little bit every day and it adds up. 500 words a day equals 3500 words a week, sometimes I write a little more than 500, sometimes a little less - my longest work count record in a single day was around 8000 words because I spent all day writing. It's consistency. There ARE some levels that are absolutely impossible for a human to reach, but it is not impossible to crunch out 10k words a day. The quality might be shit, but it's not impossible.
"Fast writing" is also subjective. A professional writer that spends all day writing may have a vastly different opinion what is fast. 10k a day? Maybe it's 3k a day. Maybe 700 words is fast! Maybe to you who is reading 300 words a day is a fifth of the speed of light.
But regardless, you think I am fast, maybe fast enough that someone might think it's gen ai. I don't think I am fast (you do not know how often I delete and stare). I just love writing.
Now onto your actual question.
How do I do it?
Note: what works for me may be USELESS to you, everyone is different.
1.) You actually have to have a story to tell. You have to know what that story is. If you're struggling to write it, it could be you don't actually have it. You have a SCENE. Write the scene you do have in your head. "Jumping into a scene with no background information" IS a valid start, and sometimes just writing that down will spin some ideas for how everyone got there and where they are going. A lot of people also just like reading SCENES.
2.) Going into the above... have a direction. An outline. I know a lot of people kick and scream about that because they are "pantsers" and want the full freedom of making shit up as they go, but I'm telling you, to START having at least a direction will help. Then when you've started, you can throw it out.
3.) Do you actually LIKE writing? This is an important one, the most important in my opinion. If you don't like the writing process and lament that you just want to "beam the words on the document" that is a pretty big red flag that you might just not like writing. This might not be the hobby for you. You love to dream about the scenarios but sharing them in written format is something you just don't like. Really think about it. If you love writing, your stories will come. You will be kicking your feet and giggling as you cannot wait to get home to write. It will become your video games, your movies, the series you cannot wait to catch up on. You gotta like it. You also have to love your idea which is also important because if you don't like your idea you're not going to write it, or write it well.
4.) If you've troubleshooted the above and you're certain that you DO have a story/scene, you do have a direction, you like the writing process and you love your idea, and you are still struggling to write it then there may be other issues at hand.
You might truly have writers block, there a hundreds of tips to address that with a web search. Many will circle back to "do you actually have a story????"
Maybe a diagnosis is making it hard to focus, reaching out to writing groups focused on bringing people with your diagnosis together might help to see what helped them. "Writers with Depression" will be able to help you much more than a generic writing group.
Maybe you genuinely don't know how to string words together, the solutions to this is something that everyone hates.... time and patience. You have to write badly to start. You have to read (published books not fanfic). You have to study how written word comes together (by reading, you don't need to go to school for this, just read and look at how a scene is presented).
Maybe you're writing in the wrong perspective/tense for your brain. Maybe third person is NOT what you like, or what the story needs. Maybe it's first person current tense. "I watch as he comes in for a kiss and panic grips me; I just ate garlic bread and I know my breath is awful. I'm doomed."
Or maybe writing it like a play or a script is what you needed. These are valid forms of writing and fic.
Don't listen to booktok or writingtok about how to put words together, I've found everything I've seen from there to be condescending pointless garbage. Purple prose is fine. First person is fine. Using 'said' is fine.
Write your way, fuck everyone else.
I hope some of this might help you or will at least inspire you to start. I cannot TEACH you how to write, no one really can - they can teach you how to plot and make a story, but they cannot teach you how to write it. That's on you.
Finally... Words of wisdom; it has to exist BADLY at first for it to exist at all. Editing is when bad words becomes good. But first, you need to get it down.

Adult Kon using his x-ray vision to see Bart's fractured and broken bones post-battle. Kon using his TTK to hold said bones in place while he heals. Sometimes Bart is unconscious for it, often he's awake yapping about what they're going to have for dinner. It's such a casual event for them eventually. Everyone else just looks at them like ą² _ą² because legs don't bend that way and that's a lot of blood.
When Kon first did this they were still teenagers and he was crying while Bart kept trying to get up and leave before his leg was healed. He threw up twice afterwards. He's always been squeamish about real-life gore, his boyfriend's gore was out of the question.
