Is Wade Travis a naturally assertive person or is he painfully shy?

Probably neither. He can be insecure and sometimes anxious, but is not an assertive person, rather, he is more like a companion. But shy is not characteristic of him.

Wade is a kind-hearted individual who is always willing to lend a helping hand. His optimistic outlook on life helps him to maintain a positive attitude, even in the most trying of situations. He has a tendency to get caught up in his interests like conspiracy theories, paranormals and UFOs, sometimes causing others to view him as just a some redneck freak. However, those who take the time to get to know him soon realize that he is quite intelligent and quick-witted.
