back when Ubé was still a (sleepy) clingy fledgling who couldn’t decide whether to beg for food (even though she was perfectly capable of feeding herself at this point) or sleep. she’s come a long way since this was taken and eventually got the knack of feeding herself - though she’ll still try wing-begging when she sees project staff and isn’t afraid to sneak into the aviary first to eat before the others, as long as she’s not too close to the now-scary people! she (and the one you can hear begging loudly) is/are one of four chicks from this year that were part-foster-part-hand reared before being reintroduced to the wild.
