Hey, love love love your blog. And I trust your judgement. So can you recommend me some books that has something to do with mental illnesses (depression, ocd, etc.) I like the book, 'The bell jar' and 'it's kind of a funny story' if that helps.
Thank you soo much! I really appreciate the compliment! I can! I have a list already written up of some of my favorites (although I am working on adding more currently. Slow process), so here's a link to my current one with the Goodreads' post. I'm going to put them in text form below, though! The Bell Jar is on mine. I need to read "It's Kind of a Funny" story so I can add it too!!
The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath (depression, suicide)
The Silver's Lining Playbook - Matthew Quick (bipolar, mania, depression)
The Curious Incident of the Dog in Night-Time - Mark Haddon (autism)
The Impossible Knife of Memory - Laurie Halse Anderson (PTSD)
The Marriage Plot - Jeffrey Eugenides (bipolar disorder, mood disorder)
Speak - Laurie Halse Anderson (depression)
Wintergirls - Laurie Halse Anderson (eating disorder)
Thirteen Reasons Why - Jay Asher (depression, suicide)
Thanks so much for your question!
