I wish I didn't have to admit this as an English major but the only reason I remember 'each other' is two words is because of WAFFLE-O

So....somethings have happened and come to light about an old fandom i loved so much....

A long long loooonnngg time ago I was a very hard core lover and person in the AH/RT fandom. I was never crazy involved but always around. And loved the art and the fanfics and everything.

I was crushed when Ray left, I was ecstatic when Jeremy and Matt came into the fold.

But the one person who held me in watching AH was.

Ryan.

Ryan fucking Haywood. His on camera persona was that of a ‘dark humor’ ‘twisted for show’ type character I LOVED *and still do just in a different way*

He was the reason I loved watching a lot of the Minecraft letsplays. And most of the games that I would never play myself.

He had this pull to be one of the best, next to Jeremy with his just wild card attitude and no fucks given mentality once things went off the rails.

He was charming, and caring, friendly and open, he did stupid things to mess with Gavin way back when he first joined, the vibrating desk was when I really was like

“Oh him. I like him. He’s got loki levels of fuck with people for no reason”

Now I never cared about him having Instagram or Twitter or Snapchat because back when I was a massive fan that wasn’t a big deal, he was a dad, he had kids and a wife, and didn’t care about social media.

Until extra life. When Meg and him had free play and made it a fun stretch goal to have Ryan get Twitter and only follow her as a joke. Because he was such a non social media savvy ‘dad’.

Then he got Instagram, cause ya know up the intake of social media, and make money for the kids! It’s a win win in the eyes of everyone.

Then Snapchat....because it’s funny. Money for kids and Ryan being a dad on Snapchat with filters and dumb angles.

It’s harmless.

Until it’s not. And Ryan used his fame, his charming front to abuse his power. Over a type of VERY young women. Mentally ill or hurting young women who he could have a power over.

Show them just enough attention and care. Be a friendly older person to connect with and know that he sees them.

Because they look up to him, see him as this persona.

He used that, and abused it. On seeming countless woman. All 20+ years his younger. Because he could.

I came into AH when I was 15/16 with Minecraft episode 13/14 when it was still held on the rooster teeth channel.

I soon fell in love with how stupid these people were and I had seen on tumblr a video of micheal, yelling, ‘Swiss fucking cheese!’ And then it was all history.

And now, years of things we enjoyed, years worth of escape for me and so many, is ruined

Because one guy, abused his power, his fame.

To hurt the people who idolized him most.

The fans. The people who escaped with stupid video game videos.

And I’ll say it.

I used to fantasize about Ryan because he was just hot, he had a voice that made you all giggly, I would read fanfic, and search for hours for reader inserts....

Back when people still found it weird cause he was married. But I still did it. I wrote fanfic about him and Ray and Gavin, micheal and Geoff and jack....

And if like me you see those messages and read the new details every day because the domino effect has begun, and feel like you shaped this into happening because you fantasized about Ryan, or commented how hot he was.

It’s not your fault. You were probably like me, a young teenager who saw an attractive caring man and felt a weird safety.

You were a fan, a human, it was harmless.

It’s HIS fault. It was HIM who took advantage of his position, of his power. And used it for greedy sexual needs he had.

He’s the monster. The guilty one. Not you or me or any of his victims that are coming forward.

Ryan is a predator.

And like Jeremy said we all will never know the full true extent of what he has done. And it’s gonna be infuriating. But we all need to grieve and soon we’ll be able to move on.

Ryan haywood, you have hurt so many young woman, have abused a power you knew you held, you are a predator, maybe you didn’t start out as one. And over time you erroded into seeing you could take from them and it would be fine. One small dip in a huge pool to see what bites, and once one bit, another and another and another followed. Because that’s what predators do. They feel around, see what bites and they bleed it dry. You have ruined so much. But worst you ruined innocent young girls. Because you could. You are a monster. Not the one you played up fro videos, the Mad king, the vegabond, the crooked crown with darkness seeping. No you are the true monster behind a screen. And now you face the consiquences of what you have done.

And to anyone who like me, fantasized and idolized Ryan, who read fanfic and wished it was real. Do not feel guilty, you were having fun. It was harmless because it was fake. You are not the cause.

Meg making the stretch goals and having fun to raise money for extra life is not the cause.

Ryan being...a wolf in sheep’s wool is the cause. He hid and joked about his true intents.

He is the cause and he is the problem and now we deal with what he has done and we rebuild.

We leave him and his family alone.

We work though our emotions. We slowly stitch this gapping gash on our souls closed and help the AH fam who was closest to him heal, we help the victims, we shelter them for as long as they ask. And we remember one thing.

And remember you are never alone. I promise.

I’m looking for some lovely individuals to join my world and have a grand ol’ time!

Here are the requirements but in list form:

- Be 18+ (no child/teen drama here...if you’re offended by this then maybe this group isn’t for you, if you understand this then this group is definitely for you)

- Have a mic for discord chat. Must be able to communicate in a call, typing won’t work with us! Unless you can hear everyone and type on the minecraft chat screen

- have the latest edition of Minecraft! (Windows 10 Edition downloaded for PC 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘫𝘢𝘷𝘢 𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 if you want help on getting this for free let us know! Otherwise any console version works too for Xbox One, PS4, Switch, etc)

- Have a good sense of humour in all areas! We like to have fun :-) We’re not rude or vulgar ofc but like to give a jab or say a bad pun every now and then 😂

- Understand one or more of these things (let us know which ones!!):
