Football AU. Okay... so Valarr doesn't use his Targaryen surname because he wants to make a name for himself. So he works 200% harder than anyone to prove himself and be the best footballer he can be. But his privileged background isn't a state secret so journalists, fans etc keep bringing it up and call him nepo baby like his family name bought him his place in the team or something. Or insinuating like he was made captain because his family made a sizable donation to the club's charity foundation, and had a new wing in the academy and first team training centers built. So being seen only as a big dollar sign is one of Valarr's insecurities. That's why he works twice as hard, behaves so well on and off the pitch, holds himself to the highest of standards and the strictest of disciplines. And then he meets Aerion lol. ;)

I love Aerion born and raised in France. Because if the French are one thing, it is that they have strong opinions. Aerion always speaks his mind and isn't afraid of ruffling a few feathers. He's also a big snob and thinks footballers are dumb and crass. And then he meets sexy sexy Valarr in a nightclub. Imagine his shock the morning after their hook up when he realizes what Valarr does for a living lol. :P

ok ok yes and yes

they've named the training ground after the company that baelor heads and Valarr can't escape it for one moment. there's a shirt sponsor with ties to the company and everyone on socials (mainly rival fans) HAS to let him know he's only there for the money

but then you see Valarr on the pitch and wow, actions speak louder than words. He's a craftsman, technical, magical, sees passes before they even happen, knows the right pass, the weight of the ball and WELL THERE YOU GO!

Then there's Aerion. Rich, blond, foul mouthed, dresses beautifully, speaks beautifully, the lot. He HATES footballers, thinks they're useless and dumb and then he meets Valarr...

and ooohh boy. Maybe its because he's only met defenders (the joke Valarr give shim), but he's never met such a thoughtful, intelligent man in his life. the way he speaks about football itches Aerion in all the right ways and well...

the rest is history no?

Football AU. Are Valarr and Aerion still cousins in this AU? Maybe they're estranged cousins...? That's why they don't know each other. Let's say it's Baelor who leaves the family for whatever angsty reason, and doesn't go by his Targaryen surname. Maybe Valarr doesn't go by this other surname either professionally, like the Brazilians who just go by their first names lol. So it's just "Valarr" on his jersey. And there's a big surprise when it's time to meet the parents! Imagine Maekar's face when he meets Aerion's newest boyfriend (to see if he's not some gold digger who just wants the Targaryen connection) and sees heterochromatic eyes that remind him of his estranged brother! What do you think...? ;)

Baelor and Maekar don't see each other, Aerion and his brother's raised in another country (let's chuck at French bc French Aerion would be a sexy little minx)...

Valarr definitely goes by his first name like brazilians do, I love it. Also bc Targaryen isn't fitting well on the back of a shirt smh...

Then when they finally meet the parents like you say, Maekar's face goes RED and he realises who he is speaking to and Aerion is confused and then BOOM, we're on to a winner...

Football AU. Have you seen that picture of Martin Odegaard drinking the bottled water in the nightclub where they celebrated? I thought that was incredibly sexy lol. Maybe WAG!Aerion meets Footballer!Valarr for the first time drinking all by himself when he wasn't famous yet, and Aerion makes the first move...?

And then when they're already dating/married, and Valarr gets a lot of abuse for whatever reason on social media, news media etc, Aerion just gets mad and makes a rant on social media... and this gets Valarr into a lot of trouble haha. I dunno, do WAGS get media training too?

And Valarr has to take Aerion on a yacht during football summer break! Just the two of them. ;)

nahhhh but can you imagine this? Aerion is on a night out and sees this JAW DEFINING sexy man celebrating something and (i know you said not famous but if we try this way hehe) Aerion has NO IDEA who he is bc he doesn't follow football but HE KNOWS HE WANTS HIM

so they hook up and Aerion then notices all of the shit and figures out who Valarr is and is highly embarassed, leaves early in the morning

turns out Valarr becomes OBSESSED. Plays football poorly when Aerion isn't messaging him, distracted, falling QUICKLY!

AND YES THE SUMMER YACHT AND AERION AS THE MOST DESIRABLE WAG AND AERION AT THE EUROS AND THE WORLD CUP AND IN A CROP TOP OOOHHHHHHH

I was thinking about the Aerion wag fanfic, before they started having a bunch of kids a rival fan would start there's a rumor that Valarr had erectile dysfunction or infertile and that's why he couldn't impregnate Aerion. All I know is that Aerion was very offended when she read this. I imagine him going to his Twitter account to deny it, but he's stuck on the idea of Valarr getting him pregnant immediately to end this stupid rumor, hahahahaha

darling this is the funniest thing (also not funny bc sorry men who have this issue...) but also HILARIOUS!

bc imagine Aerion scrolling through twitter and there's just a thread of people discussing why, after x many years of marriage, Aerion is not pregnant and he, naturally, is FUMING

he presents, at dinner, the point to Valarr who shrugs (the man is far too tired from training but nods when Aerion starts counting on his fingers).

but this irritates Aerion to no end. So he starts demanding Valarr take him on every surface in the house. He stops taking his pill, demands Valarr finish in him every time ("quick, quick, put it back in!") and lies there, legs up after to ensure he is fully sated.

as his own beliefs, Aerion falls pregnant far too quickly, surprising even himself, and stares in the mirror, the test before him.

Valarr comes back from a game, jubilant from victory and winner Man of the Match, to find his little dragon in his jersey, nothing else.

he smiles, a usual, until Aerion does a little swirl, showing that it is in fact a new shirt

the photo breaks the internet, guesses at the gender and the name going round. And it won't surprise anyone to know that the baby boy was born the day after the last game of the season, as Aerion celebrates with his husband the winning of the Premier League

Football AU since the World Cup is just about to kick off in an hour or so. Remember that video of Ben White casually throwing away Martin Odegaard's sunglasses during the trophy parade? And then Martin was just like WTF MAN? But make it Valaerion LOL! Maybe Aerion and Valarr had a fight, like Aerion threw a tantrum because he's jealous of Valarr's commitment to football and Valarr's not paying attention to him, and just threw away his sunglasses while they're dining al fresco or something. Teehee.

And yes Valarr does wake up after their one night stand and Aerion is gone, and you betcha he tries to find him on socials, asks around his friends

AND YOU KNOW DAMN WELL, that he finds him again at the Ballon D’or ceremony as a presenter on the red carpet and OH BOY OH BOY that would relight some flames especially when other footballers are trying to flirt with him in front of Valarr eeeeeehehhehehe

In the football au Valarr and Aerion having a ASAP Rocky and Rihanna type relationship. Both are so very obsessed and insane about each other and you damn well know than once Aerion gets pregnant it’s gonna be a while before they stop. I can see the memes already of his fans telling Valarr to get off of him and to give Aerion a break not realizing that Aerion is the one pushing for all of this.

ooo ykno this is the best idea bc we know they’re OBSESSED WITH INE ANOTHER like Aerion can be interviewed at a fashion show and can stop with the “my husband” talk
