hey brandi!! i have a editing question for you. i was wondering how you get the sky to be so pretty in your edits? mine is always boring and blue. i know there’s some sky replacements out there so i was just wondering what you use. sorry if this has been asked before!!
hey!! i use twinkle toes lighting mod, which is beautiful, but it doesn't usually change the way the sky itself looks; that's all photoshop! specifically the sky replacement tool (edit → sky replacement) does 90% of the work for me:
before:
after:
but the downside is that this tool only comes with the newest version of photoshop, so most cr*cked versions won’t have it :( in the past, i used to google pictures of sunsets, paste them over my image, mess with the blend mode to make it look more natural, maybe blur it, and then carefully erase the leaves on an individual basis. so it’s definitely possible if you have some time to spare!! i still do this to a lesser extent even with the tool, because as you can see above, some of the leaves get faded & blurry.
also, whether you’re using the sky replacement tool or doing it by hand, adding light leaks & drawing little blobs of matching colors around the edges of the leaves will help tie it all together (i didn’t do this for the above pics because i’m lazy, but hopefully you understand what i mean fjkjsd). and then running topaz studios or topaz clean over top will make it look more cohesive! i hope that helps 💖
