J’onn J’onnz had offered to give her as long as she needed to grieve before giving her his memories of pre-Crisis, but Felicity had known she’d never know what happened if she took him up on that offer. So she watches the multiverse die and Oliver— in a god-like form— save the universe. Through the eyes of a complete stranger. It’s weird, to say the least.
Now she knows that Mia being able to grow up in the Queen mansion was Oliver’s doing. She loves him so much for that (even if living with Moira takes some getting used to). She’s glad for the support Emiko and Moira give her, however overbearing Moira sometimes is. Even the universe restarting doesn’t change some things.
When Mia turns one, Felicity throws her a birthday party. She tries, in vain, to stamp down the grief of Oliver not being there. He’d be so proud. He’d probably hold her tiny hand and never let go. He’d probably carry her around and show her off and tell her how pretty she is. And she’s adorable in this cute little pink dress.
At one point, Mia throws a fit that reminds her so much of Oliver that she leaves to go cry in the bathroom for a few minutes before pulling herself together for the crowd of people here to celebrate for goodness’ sake. In hindsight, it’s a little funny that a one-year-old’s temper tantrum reminded her of Oliver. But it wasn’t that, really. It was the look on Mia’s face, and the way her eyebrows scrunched in a scowl. Mia isn’t old enough to look dangerous yet, but Oliver hadn’t ever looked scary to Felicity either.
When she returns to the party, she finds Mia playing with baby Sara, John Jr., and Connor Hawke. She knows that’s Oliver’s doing, too. Wherever he is, she hopes he knows how proud she is of him.
She knows that if he can see all this, he’s looking at them with pride too.
