ぼくのお日さま Boku no Ohisama (2024) dir. Okuyama Hiroshi
She was the one who made a habit in him to eat gummy! I'm such a mess right now. Right from the first episode, he would offer her gummy and she would ask him "you like this?" and he'd say "no" and then say to her exactly what she said to him the night they got engaged. Then everyday they met and he would repeat the same in hopes that she might remember something and her memory impairment might improve (Spoiler alert- It's a happy ending). I loved this show. It is short (only 11 eps but enough to tell the story) and warm and full of feelings and has fantastic and lovable side characters who make you care for them. And the two leads' romance!!! The chemistry was there from the get go and you could feel that these two knew each other before she lost her memories. Their moments were sweet, subtle yet impactful. Episode 10-11 had me bawling and I loved every second of it.
