🐾I didn't adopt Bella from the Quinte Humane Society. But I did adopt my lovely Sheltie mix, Elfie from QHS, when I was in grade 9 or 10..
I skipped school with a friend one day, and headed to Pet Smart.. I seen Elfie sitting there so proper.. And i HAD TO HAVE HIM..
I went home that evening, and expressed my NEED for this dog.. Also giving myself up, that I skipped school.. BUT my mom ,step dad, and I went to Pet Smart that evening, and bought Elfie.
No one had a license - so it was back and forth cab rides from the Quinte Humane Society and Pet Smart - filling out papers.. etc..
Sadly Elfie is no longer with me. But he helped me through SO MUCH. Bullying, attempt suicide, hospital visits... My life was a wreck when I was a teenager. Without him, WITHOUT ANIMALS, I wouldn't be here.
SO CHEERS TO ALL THE ANIMALS OUT THERE!
