KotD spoilers under the cut

Kinda just fleshing out Hamid as a character and their relationship with the others during act 2. I’ll make a post about what generally happens in each of the acts later just know for now act 2 is when they first meet Hamid.

I like to think (saying that as if I didn’t make them) they try to distance themselves from the things they care about and are interested in in an attempt to maybe gain the respect of the other acidlings they have been exiled from, even though they know deep down they’ve all taken their eyes off of them and will never be able to unless they come back stronger by cleansing more objects. The behavior only really resulted in an intense loneliness and thinking everyone ever hates them. They immediately bond with Cery because she uses clean magic which is similar to a less potent cleansing, and seeing someone who has similar abilities to what cleansing does but not doing so makes them see themselves her. Also cleansing refers to the act of eating away at the surface of an object by absorbing it into themselves, making them stronger and adding to the body mass. It cleans the object by destroying any grime along with the surface but at the cost of it slowly dissolving into the acidling.
