Since I got my new Apple Pencil I drew this fella my sibling really likes from the walking dead
I’m not too sure about him but they really likes his character and as long as my sibling is happy then this big fella who really likes his bat makes me happy too
hai heres comic rick... i love him so dearly hehe
I know that audiences are fed up with the Walking Dead, the ratings have been nosediving ever since they introduced Negan (ironically one of the best characters of the franchise), and none of the spinoff shows have moved the cultural needle like the main series did in its early days, but I'm still kinda holding out hope for something like The Walking Dead: Brotherhood, a 1-to-1 faithful adaptation of the comics. They changed so much for the show, swapped character attributes willy nilly, added and subtracted and moved stuff around for no reason, killed off fan favorites because of contract disputes and petty squabbling behind the scenes... They turned it into a total shitshow over the last 6 or 7 years. I mean, if they killed of Carl and wrote off Rick they could just as easily have kept Glenn alive-
I digress.
My point is that I want there to be a definitive Walking Dead adaptation, preferably animated; I'm not a fan of Invincible myself, but they had the right idea and I think the near limitless medium of animation is the only real way to do Robert Kirkman's work justice.
Just give it ten or fifteen years though, because everybody is pretty fed up with zombies right now. They've been on the decline for a reason, so it'll be a while before the nostalgia kicks back in.
okay so i don’t ship negan and rick in the show because i just don’t see it personally (no hate if u do tho idrc) but lately i’ve been reading the comics and... my opinions have started to change,
like idk their chemistry in the comics is just very different and there’s SOMETHING going on
like the sheer homoeroticism of being shut in a small room together surrounded by dead people and opening up about your insecurities and dead wives /j
