Come out to the soft echo of retreating ocean and sea birds stirring from their slumber. Come out when the sand is cool underfoot, untouched by the new day’s sun. The light is just tipping over the horizon, catching the clouds in a flurry of orange, blue and pink. We’ve been here before, but never like this. We wander barefoot, playing the games you like best whilst dodging washed up jellyfish. And I think to myself how lucky we are to be here. That this small snapshot of tranquillity as the sun peeks over the horizon is a show that we are the only audience of in this space, on this day, at this time.

With winter over, supposedly, I'm stepping up a gear with this new series of spring walks. The first in this new series is the Devils Punch Bowl, near Hindhead, on the Hampshire/Surrey border, an area that has in recent years undergone a massive change with the main Portsmouth to London road (A3) going through a new tunnel dug through the hills, and the old road ripped up and returned to nature as a bridleway. Although spring had started, the weather didn't appear to have received the email, and the punch bowl was shrouded in thick mist, for some this is the perfect weather to visit the site, as it adds to the nether worldliness of the area.

As mentioned this is a start at stepping up my video creation skills, so your comments would be greatly appreciated. Also if you know of somewhere in the Hampshire, Surrey, Sussex area that you think would be a great place to visit leave a comment as well.
