"Aren't you a little curious?" The taller one asked. Even if his companion was not feet smaller than him, he still towered over everything else, he struck an imposing figure. There must be dragon blood flowing through his veins for him to be that mountainous, or at the very least, Naga blood the smaller one thought, watching his large companion through the corner of his vision.
"I trust you." Moose placed a hand on Lenalas' shoulder, giving it a small reassuring squeeze. Len swatted his hand away, baring his teeth in warning. Those were not the words he wanted to hear. Despite all they had been through together, they were still the words he refused to hear.
"I'd rather try it on an apprentice." Len said, huffing, crumpling the papers with tiny writing and detailed diagrams on them. Burning them without a second thought. "At least then I wouldn't be hungry."
"I'd rather you not kill my apprentices." the giant argonian sighed. "And if you're that hungry, go kill an elk, or a sabrecat or something. They're bound to taste a lot better than man or mer. Probably eat healthier than them at the very least."
"Your apprentices are foolish, just like their Arch-Mage, and a waste of resources. Do you know just how exhausting it is to hunt down all those ingredient, just to have them eat them? Who thinks eating a whole bowl of void salt is a good idea?" The smaller argonian stood up and walked away from the other. The potions rack in their quarters provided far better companionship than a certain over sized Lukiul. The Agaceph's eyes narrowed, someone had ruined his organization. "You probably told them to do so to keep me away longer didn't you."
"Well you did say you wanted to keep others at a distance. What better way than have you wander around daedra ruins?" Moose asked, trailing after him like a shadow. A massive, clumsy, noisy shadow. He pressed himself against the Len's back, draping his large arms over petite shoulders, nuzzling his snout against scarred scales. He couldn't see his face, but he could imagine the expression his companion wore. Eyes looking far and away in annoyance, his pupils barely visible slits... But his throat taking on just a slight more colour than it had mere seconds ago.
"I never said that." Len corrected, clutching a glass vial tight in his hand.
"Not out loud anyway." Moose hummed, gently running his claws against his partner's jawbone.
"Shut up." The Agaceph quieted, trying to press his head against the dark fingers touching him. Moose pulled away.
"Do it and I'll tell them to behave themselves." Moose was sure he had won their argument.
"And burn you alive? No." With the weight of a small giant suddenly gone from his shoulders, Len went back to work re-organizing his potions.
"Please. Everyone knows you're weakest in destruction magic. At most you might burn off a few scales, but that's it."
"Shut up."
"You're right, that's being far too generous. It'd be more like being wrapped in wolf hide-"
"Moose."
"During a blizzard-"
"I swear by Azura."
"After swimming in the ocean."
Len spun around glowering at the hulking mage, lightning crackling its way up his arm. Moose smiled, still not backing down. "Attack me."
