Jay’s fingers clenched, then unclenched. He kept back the tears the best he could. Despite everything they’d been through, everything he’d done, he didn’t want to look so weak in front of Donovan. Get it together, Jay.
“Donovan…” he swallowed, then continued, “Don’t DM me. Don’t mpreg emoji me. We’re done.”
It almost hurt his throat to say. After they’d been through so much hell together. As he turned to walk away, he looked back at Donovan’s face - his usually calm and collected expression… crumpled. Dammit. Why did he have to feel so guilty?
