Coral Canyons Wall Dive
In every batch of product I make for a show, I always make sure that there is one piece that is so detailed that I am sure to regret beginning it.
I look forward to the stage halfway through when I'm confident that I have wasted this beautiful piece of wood, and I cannot wait to see how beautiful it ends up.
This is based on native corals, sponges, inverts, and fishes of the Caribbean; specifically the Coral Canyons dive site in Belize that I still see in my dreams. Star of the trench is a white tipped reef shark, but there will be angels and grouper hidden in the corals, as well as a green moray, four eyed butterflies, lobster, and other favorites of mine like the ever-shocked squirrel fish. By the time this is done it will be a veritable Where’s Waldo of tropical reef inhabitants.
