Random Spamton HC's
General
⚡Spamton is not his real name. He adopted it during his downfall. The other Addisons started calling him Spamton to mock him, and he took it on ironically so that they couldn't use it against him. (similar to Eggman from Sonic)
⚡Knows how to fix cars, and knows a lot about them. He has a collection of car magazines and framed posters.
⚡The 3 broken cars outside his shop are 3 different discontinued models he used to sell. He's trying to repair them.
⚡ Freaking loves that Pure Moods CD collection everybody went crazy for in the 90's. (Affectionate)
Addison Spamton
☁️ Was the best at playing hide and seek in the snow when he was little, but was also the first to get lost. His parents insisted he wear bright colored mittens and a scarf when he went out to play in the snow so that they could keep track of him.
☁️ Spent most of his working career trying to sell things ethically and politely, which is why he failed.
Career Peak
💰 Was advised to take up smoking to improve his image at the time. Now a habit he does in an attempt to de-stress. Prefers cigars, downgraded to cigarettes as his money dwindled.
💰 Preferred terms of affection are baby/babyface, doll/babydoll, sugar, sweet cheeks, little mama, etc. He adopted them during his rise to appear more confident and charming. Continued to use them post fall out of habit.
💰 Ran an entire entertainment district during his prime, complete with casinos, hotels, theaters, luxury shopping, etc. High rollers and societal elite only. The Spamton-head buildings in/behind Queen's basement were part of his hotel side-empire. The whole city from the Neo fight was the entertainment district he controlled.
💰 Reluctantly started to believe that being cutthroat and sleazy was the only way to be successful and respected. Witnessing Kris's kindness and integrity re-lit the spark of compassion and honesty he had forced himself to abandon during his career. He's still somewhat jaded, but is doing his best to be less so after his Neo defeat. (Assuming he still lives on as/in the glasses.)
El Ministerio del Tiempo Rewatch | Las Indias
One of the rules of the Ministry of Time is that can only travel to places that are at the time of their travel Spanish territories. I’m probably biased as a Latina but I love when they travel to America to often bittersweet adventures.
Today’s Mexico, 1518 -S3-08 Tiempo de Conquista - Mexican Conquest ft Gonzalo Guerrero, Geronimo de Aguilar and Bernal del Castillo.
Today’s Colombia, 1828 - S3-10 Refugiados por el Tiempo - Simon Bolivar main actor of the indepence of Northern South America ft Manuela Saenz and Rafael Urdaneta (and Palomo the horse) [Simon Bolivar also appeared in S3-04 Tiempo de illustrados set in Madrid - Spain]
Cuba - 1851 - S3-03 - Tiempo de esclavos - Mainly set in Spain but deals with slavery in Cuba.
Cuba - 1898 - S2-07 - Tiempo de valientes I - A very short scene set during the Cuban American War but the theme of the War is developped during the season.

THIS IS THE BEST IDEA I HAVE EVER HAD!!
This is amazing
That's part of what made me shift away from the acid shrinking theory, too. Spamton was small and unlucky, the odd one out of all the Addisons. He was upset and wanted to prove himself. He sells his soul to become successful and all powerful. He gets what he wanted. He's feared, respected, and owns everything. Negotiations break down, and he's stripped of everything he had, including his sanity, and is now reduced to looking like a silly little toy. Complete humiliation. He can talk all he wants, but nobody can get past his ridiculous and off-putting appearance and mannerisms.
The idea of him actually being weak and pathetic and not being able to do anything on his own kind of doesn't mesh with that story, but it's only a tiny bit off. I kind of feel like the idea was this kind of "Look at this little runt who ended up becoming all powerful! Oh, but look at him now, just a beat up little toy in a dumpster. Silly runt, ambition is evil! Know your place!" And the more subtle implication that he was always smart and capable, but the way the advertising world works is based primarily on luck and scamming and not true skill and craftsmanship, so him selling his soul to get good at that was only going to end in failure because the industry is extremely fickle, something that despite any genuine skill he may have had, was always going to turn on him and bite him in the ass.
I think that's why one of the Addisons that mourns him points out that "He was just like us, just a little unlucky." and also "We didn't get it, why did HE get to be a big shot?" Because the industry is luck based, which none of the Addisons can wrap their heads around. They are skilled at advertising, not necessarily lucky at it. Whatever skill they have cannot change the fact that customers have fleeting interests and attention spans.
Add in the fact that whoever was helping Spamton was a malevolent force that turned on him and withdrew their support for whatever reason.
I think his story had a tiny bit less to do with him being a pathetic person grasping for power and more to do with his overarching and very human theme of trying to get life to deal you a better hand. He was born unlucky and just wanted to turn things around, and once he finally did, he was dealt an even worse hand than when he started, and that frustrated him. People go through that all the time.
He lays everything out for you in his first encounter. "I'm good at stuff! ...I just need a little help right now, is all. But don't underestimate me!"
"I was only in this industry to get control of my life, and to do things for the art of it. But things kind of went south, I guess. But I'll be back on top in no time! I just need a little boost, and I can do it!"
He's the living embodiment of those old 90's cartoon episodes when a character has a bad luck day and gets bodied everywhere they go for no reason, and the other episodes about not chasing popularity, where a character would become extremely popular and think it was permanent, then their fans would inevitably follow something else, and they'd come up with all sorts of schemes to get attention again and it would fail, with the end result being that they finally realize that they're fine just the way they are and are lucky to have friends that love and care about them no matter what.
TL;DR
But that's just my interpretation. Like I said (or at least tried to say), that point still gets across to some degree with other interpretations of him. This is only what it looks like to me.
