The bench top is done ( for now ) ... the end vice and array of dog holes still need to be installed, but for now I’m moving onto the lower frame joinery. The apron is glued along the front using through dovetails to join it to the side aprons....The back apron however is glued along the bench top, but is “floating “ in sliding half-blind dovetails at the back. This is to allow for wood movement through seasonal humidity changes.
