You know, I don't even hate the focus on Jane. She is one of the leads after all. But it pisses me off when they neglect Maura (the other lead) in favor of storylines about horny tea and Mama Rizzoli breaking up with Sean because a fortune cookie told her to.

Here you have an amazing character. Chief M.E. A shit ton of qualifications. Multi-lingual. Crazy smart. A little goofy, yeah. Insecurities about dealing with live people. Family issues. I mean, there's so much you can do with this character. But yeah. Horny tea it is.

Ref scissoring - I'm curious when the phrase came into use. I read plenty of lesbian smut in the late 90s and don't remember ever seeing it used. It's always struck me as a position designed for porn (maximum display possibilities) rather than participant pleasure.

I’m honestly not sure. Like you, I’ve been at this since the 90s, and I didn’t see it as a term used for a sexual position used by lesbians until relatively recently, the last 3 or four years of which it has become heavily used.

However, if the massive amount of messages I’ve received on here are any indication, you and I are completely wrong and scissoring has always been a thing and a glorious thing at that.

So, to every woman who does the scissoring thing and it works for you, I’m happy for you. I am. Anytime you can find mutual pleasure in consensual sex, it’s a good thing.

However, I do find it hard to believe that most women would get a lot of satisfaction from the position. There are always exceptions to the rule, of course, and, if there’s someone out there reading this who is the exception, good for you; please don’t message me about it. I dropped Lost after the first season, too. It became clear that they were making stuff up as they went along.

Weeeeeeeell, I did watch the whole show, obviously, my favorite character didn't show up until season 3 ;). But yeah, it was WTF worthy. Polar bears on a tropical island, time travel, that creep Ben.... *shivers*
