The Pedalboard: July 2022 edition. HAD to get this thing locked down at least temporarily, as I have a few shows coming up. The board continues to utilize effects that I’ve had on hand for ages — but for this incarnation, it’s actually a really unusual arrangement that centers around an early (pre-production, I believe?) @lovepedalcustomeffects Purple Plexi that i had sitting around in a box. No graphics or logos on that thing, but a monster of a pedal - to the degree that it can be a bit difficult to tame. Unity gain/volume on that thing is with the volume knob at about 1/16th of its throw - suuuper sensitive. But … sounds amazing. The @ehx Signal Pad is a new experiment, also semi-related to the Purple Plexi - it gets me basically the equivalent of guitar volume knob rolloff, but in pedal form for consistency in said rolloff one time to the next. The @wamplerpedals Ego Compressor and Faux Spring Reverb have been mainstays for a while now and remain, as does the @madprofessoramp hand-wired Deep Blue Delay, the @lovepedalcustomeffects Stir of Echoes, and the @tcelectronic PolyTune 2. Also playing around with a @neunaberaudio Seraphim and Ammoon looper - there’s no song in the set (yet) that really calls for these so we’ll see if they stick around. And … after tonight’s practice, still not sure about the @officialibanezguitars Tube Screamer - it’s one of the first pedals I ever bought and I want to love it purely for nostalgia’s sake, but I found it wasn’t quite adding enough “oomph” for solos tonight. Think I’m going to try squeezing in a @fender Santa Ana Overdrive next and see how that fares.
