Summer’s on the Rise
And it was looking to be a hot one, this year around.
With everybody here and there and everywhere with the invasion of Draenor, E’shi had lost contact with a lot of her friends. There were a few who she still saw, and some who popped up from time to time. And for them, she was thankful.
Sitting on the pier on the beaches of Sen’jinn, she glanced off to the side to watch Kosharn and Kro’gara playing in the sands off to the side with their sire, Krogu. Loa, how lucky she was to have them. Her lips pulled into a wide smile, toes dipping in the water. The little mutt of a jungle troll couldn’t help but think about how far she had come.
RP Scene: Rie’sefu/Wan’ja
He had awoken a couple of days later, after sleeping rather heavily to regain his strength. Unknown to him of Wan’ja’s turmoil during the night as well as his departure. The moment his mind touched the surface of consciousness, Rie sat up with groggy eyes wide open and spoke in a hush tone. “Wahn’jah..”
Just a couple quick gifts to two special people. E'shi is quite fond of minstrelofmyths Wan'ja. She likes the way he blushes when she gives him kisses. And Zalmai, like Eesh, adores tribeoftrolls Zinaji. Tamu, she calls him. The lump potato on Zal's chest is Nyota. I hope you two enjoy these <3 (And there'll be more to come for others~)
(( A letter arrives for Fah'kiri writen in a fast and easy script. )) Dear Fah'kiri, I know I haven't been to the city for a long time, I'm sorry. I've been in the monestary where the monks train with Rie. It's very busy here, and cold, and just sometimes strange. It is so high up, it's like you are on top of the world. There's a monk here named like Rie's brother Jang,-
and just as loud and a bully like Rie's very troll brother, but a Pandaren. I teased Rie some saying that we should tell Jang, his brother, that we met his twin! And there is so much food here all the time so don't worry about me not eating and stuff. Really, why I'm writing is because I'm wondering about you. How you've been? What you've been up to? I miss hanging out with you at the tree, or by the pond, or even in Thunderbluff. I guess I'm missing my friends, and I'm starting to worry about them all. I haven't talked to anybody else in a long time, just to hear their voices, see their faces, and well.. the mountain just seems a little colder tonight. When you have time, maybe stop in the city for me and see how everyone is and tell me? Or maybe I can see if I can take a trip to where you are just to catch up or something? I don't want to be an imposition or anything, what do you think? Anyway, hope to hear from you soon.
Your friend, Wan'ja
---
The letter had been folded many times, very neatly, in an attempt to keep it safe while it rode around in small satchels and pockets and other various receptacles. When Fah'kiri had received it a few weeks ago, it had been a shock. She hadn't expected to get a letter back from Wan'ja. For awhile she didn't read it, fearing condemnation, fearing she'd disappointed him by running away and hiding again. Really, she didn't have to. As she found out about a week later, it seemed he hadn't received her letter telling him that she was going to be gone from the city for a long while, that she had needed space from everyone. Someplace less loud. Whether that was a good or bad thing, she couldn't decide.
His questions ate at her though. So many things had happened in the past two months. Things kept happening and in all honesty she wasn't sure she wanted to share the truth with too many people yet. Kyaki knew, she'd had to tell the older shaman. It felt right to tell her, even if she was scolded for her stupidity. I'tan, of course, knew. He was the first person she'd run to after the incident. But he didn't know everything, not really. She'd left out some parts as to why she'd fled to the jungle, her pride still hurt. Mercy knew some of it, but even then she hadn't wanted to share everything with him either.
So the letter rode around with her. Through the trip to Pandaria to visit her Auntie Kyaki, to the trip back. Now as she sat on the floor of I'tan's hut, she finally pulled out one of the elf crafted books she had been given and took a few pages from it. Fah'kiri began to write.
Wan'ja,
It is good to hear from you, I have missed your company while I've been gone. Somehow the goblins must have mixed up the mail or something because I'd sent you a letter before. Or maybe you left before the letter got to you. Either is possible.
I am glad to hear that you are doing well in Pandaria. It wasn't too long ago that I was up there myself. My aunt lives near Krasarang, so I decided to visit her. If you have the chance, you should stop by and say hello. Her name is Kyaki, she's a shaman too. She specializes in spirits, maybe you could learn a thing or two from her. Careful, she might come off a bit harsh at first but she's a very good and wise woman. Tell her that I told you to see her if you decide to go. That should make things go a bit more smoothly.
Here she paused, brow furrowing as the hollowed stick paused over the paper. A few drops of the ink she'd made herself dripped into the margin, making her curse and try to wipe them off as carefully as she could. What to say here...
You ask me how I have been and I admit that things have been a bit rough for me as of late. I haven't been exactly smart. I'm sure you're aware that sometimes I let my mouth run, especially if I get upset and well, I chose to run my mouth to the wrong person. Don't worry though, I'm alright and I am in good hands. However I've been avoiding the city because of it. There's too much noise in there and right now I don't think I can handle it well. But I do need to start pushing myself a bit more.
I think that I shall be going back to Moonglade here soon. Before I left because there was nothing to tie me there. No family, no sense of home or belonging. It was lonely and I was scared. If I'm going to get better, if I'm going to learn, I need to learn how to not let that fear control me. Now I just need to muster up enough courage to go back to my teacher and ask for him to take me back. I just left before, so he might not. I wish this sort of thing was easier.
You are missed Wan'ja. Your smile and your heart especially. If you could come see me, I would like that very much. But in the mean time, you and Rie'sefu stay out of trouble okay? I'm not there to heal you and I don't know the pandaren well enough to trust their healing. They are a strange people aren't they?
Be safe and be well.
Fah'kiri
Wan'ja to Fah'kiri; Kiss me!
First Rie'sefu, now Wan'ja. There was definitely something going on. Eyes narrowing, Fah'kiri folded her arms and watched the young shaman. "Alright. What's going on, Wan'ja? Wasn't just a bit ago that your friend was here asking the same thing of me. Is this you having a go at me?"
Little Flame, Big Burns
E'shi couldn't recall a time where she felt more alone than that night.
She couldn't recall a time she hurt as much as she did, that night.
And she certainly could not recall a night where she cried more than she did, last night.
