❛ i wouldn’t help it even IF i could, ❜
Hey Yume, I was just wondering about that Sess/Kag fic you just did about them getting married. They already had Kei and Kasumi but were getting married again? or were they getting married for the first time?
I never personally wrote any fanfics of my fanbabies. But @wanderingmiko is probably the person you’re looking for. She’s currently writing a drabble series called “Baby Days” that feature my Sesshomaru/Kagome fanbabies. I’m not sure what her timeline continuity is and we aren’t actually collaborating on the story so whatever she comes up with for her stories are not canon to my plans for Kei, Kasumi, and Seishiro or Sesshomaru and Kagome.
Hope that helps!

// Inuyasha is not too bad in the kitchen. Two of his specialty dishes are his ‘Nockem-sockem-throw-everything-into-the-cooking-pot-miracle-cold buster’ and a kind of rice porridge made with honey, citrus peel and cinnamon.
One knocks out even the most stubborn of colds. The other is so good it’s accidentally summoned things!
Otherwise, he does try to help Kagome in the kitchen! Learning what he can from what she can teach him. Figuring that if they were to be married then he better know how to help cook!
I wanna see him become a daddy~
Fatherhood// Meme
Was this how his father must’ve felt?
Nestled into his arms rested a small figure, swaddled in elaborate silks, pristine silver strands prominent as golden hues gazed over the small bundle that had been presented to him. This sensation, so familiar and yet alien, though he had grown accustomed to holding Rin she was strong enough to hold her own at eight. This child, his child, was so small and fragile in comparison.
The path of supreme conquest, a road the great dog demon had been venturing since he learned to first hold a sword, was his journey all for naught? No, certainly, this was just many a stepping stone on the path to ensure the West’s power would never falter. That empire, one in which he strove to rebuild, had now been blessed with an heir.
A soft stir escaped the newborn in his arms, faint, but still the whine audible enough for keen hearing to pick up. Nurturing a child was not something he was akin to, the idea so foreign that he never gave it a moment’s thought, yet here he was. Careful, he held the child close to his breast, a soft bleating of the newborn concerned him in ways he never thought plausible. Closing lustrous eyes, he bowed his head, allowing the newborn to be hidden among a drape of argent dresses as he comforted him in silence.
Sesshomaru felt a warmness, a sense of overwhelming pride, it enveloped him as he noted the quelling of his son’s cries. Lashes remained half-veiled, his lips parted as a faint sigh escaped him, one of relief. Watching his son slumber, the demon Lord, allowed himself a moment of reflection.
Was he truly happy? That he wasn’t quite sure, but something nagged in the back of his mind, it was the same sensation he experienced when visiting Rin. A strong sense of contentment, pride, he settled back examining the infant further. As certain as the crescent moon on his forehead, Sesshomaru felt relief, closing his eyes he turned his gaze towards azure sky.
Though he still had doubts, he wasn’t sure what kinda of future was shaping on the path before him, the road his father had traveled seemed so dark and mysterious until this point. Recalling his childhood, he allowed himself memories of his father’s otherwise warm persona to flood his mind, despite his status as a warlord. To balance power and family, was there really such a way to do so?
In that moment, the weight of Inu no Taisho’s strength truly reigned down on Sesshomaru. Not just his prowess in battle, but as a suitor and father, a political figure head and his own person. Sesshomaru was strong, the birth of Bakusaiga proof enough, but had he truly out classed his father in strength and conviction?
“Tell me, Sesshomaru, have you someone to protect?”
Those last words haunted him. Denoting his father’s question, even until now, Sesshomaru had invariably denied such claim. Looking to the newborn, those walls he had spent the last two hundred years building, had begun to waver. Had this been what his father wanted for him? All this time?
“I have the West,” he commented, staring down at his son, his expression conflicted. “And that is all.”
