1975: what is the first happy memory that comes to mind, recent or otherwise? plants: pick a person to stargaze with you and explain why you picked them. sunrise: pick a quote and describe what it means to you personally. grunge: who in the world would you most like to receive a letter from and what would you want it to say? marble: what is the most important thing to you in your life right now?

Ok, this is the THIRD time I’ve written my response for this, let’s hope it works.

1975: The snow tonight. It’s been crazy warm and while it was chilly tonight, I was warm from my nap and the snow was big, fluffy, and sparkly. Very pretty.

Plants: Someone who knows lots about the stars, because I know a handful of constellations but it would be cool to know more.

Grunge: Some big lottery or the PCH people telling me I’ve won big.

Marble: Staying sane. Between work and school, I’m super busy, and the political climate is just awful.

Thanks you so much for letting me play some more, @wanderingsofalice!  As I’ve probably mentioned once or twice, I like learning more about other people and sharing more about me! (I talk about myself a lot here, I know. I promise I try to do better in conversations.)

4. What is your favorite word?

Ooh, this is a hard one, because I love so many words.  Off the top of my head?  Illusory. It just sounds so pretty. 

22. Do you have a secret talent? If yes, what is it?

I have a secret talent for being in the right place for people at the right time. I don’t even know how I do it, but it’s been from small things as turning up at a stoplight at the same time as a colleague with a visual impairment who needing help to get to her destination, to reconnecting with a Facebook friend when she’s going through a rough time in her personal life. I’m sure there are other instances. Maybe even some I don’t know about.

50. What is the most unusual conversation you’ve ever had? <3

My friends and I are SUPER random so this is a really hard one to answer too. Seriously, we talk about the most out there and random stuff. Top of mind, the time my best friend and I went through which friends she would get if she and her husband split up (they are happily married and unlikely to split up any time soon, I am not sure HOW this came up) to the time a bunch of us were at a cabin and coming up with what the porn versions of Harry Potter would entail.  (I can’t remember what all the Hairy Cocker pornos would entail/were called, but in the third one - Prisoner of Love? - Harmony Danger would use the time turner to go back and fuck herself.)

For the fandom top five thing: Kingsman

1. As fun as the training/killing Arthur scenes were, it would be cool if there was more about Kingsman’s snobbery and how Eggsy’s background helped/hindered in different ways.

2. What’s up with the amnesia protocols?? Like, sure, we can blame Arthur, but how come Harry’s going to dart Eggsy for just seeing him kick ass but Charlie leaves training BECAUSE HE’LL RAT THEM OUT with all his memories intact?

3. WTF do you mean Kingsman is an elite spy agency, they are the least subtle people on the planet, how have they survived this long

4. DOES VALENTINE PLAN TO SAVE PLUMBERS OR FIX HIS OWN TOILETS?

5. I need 1000000 more scenes with Eggsy and Roxy and JB and Roxy’s poodle please.

Also, sexuality is weird. You can rename the pond as many times as you want. Sometimes it takes forever just to find out how deep it is, or if it has any water at all. And that’s okay. I’m glad you’re figuring things out, and I know it’s a hard thing to do on your own. If you ever need or want to talk about anything, I’m here.

Like Alice said, sexuality is weird, and in particular asexuality is weird because how do you identify the lack of something? Basically my thought process was "well, I'm 20whatever, everyone around me is in relationships or wants to be in one. I don't feel that need? I don't really get what sexual attraction is? Eh, if I've gone this long without figuring it out, I'm at least somewhere on the ace spectrum." And for me, just embracing that label and allowing myself

Good luck! The planet was probably Mars or Venus, those are the most common to see. Could have been Jupiter too, if it was in the right position. Planets are cool.

Thanks! It's tough sometimes (like now, when my chemistry lab write up decides to be conflicting and my TA is only relatively helpful) but I'll survive. Re: Stargazing, sounds good! I think I saw a planet the other day (way brighter than the other stars but not moving) but I had no real idea.

If I could, I would fly out there right now and do whatever you wanted to make you feel better. But I can’t, because teleports aren’t a thing, so my words will have to do. Please know that you are a beautiful, amazing, talented, strong, and smart person. You touch so many lives in so many ways. Throughout college I thought of you as one of the most hard working people I know. It’s one test, and you are much more than one test. Go kick the next one’s ass!

Thank you! That means a lot <3 We don’t have class on Monday, so I’m taking advantage of the time (and my weekend) to study so I can practice at work next weekend!

*hugs* I know it feels shitty. But the value of a person is not in their brains but in their actions. You’re one of the most hardworking people I know, and not just that. You’re kind and thoughtful and loving, all of which are so important traits. But that hardworking thing is what’s going to make you succeed. In my time as an ALT, the students I admired most weren’t the ones who got English, or whatever subject, without trying. Those kids were great.
