At first he got worried. Like. My lily where did you get this child. Is it my child? Were you hiding him from me? (Because he’s paranoid and realistically wanderer would do that) until wanderer explained that he was, in fact, not a child just… new to being human.
“Yeah no he’s about my age. Be nice” and then dumping what is essentially babysitting duties on him. “… hello, uh… what was your name again?” “Ah- you may refer to me as Zhongli, though our um… mutual friend often refers to me by other names” “oh okay. Uh…” “…” insert awkward silence
Little does wanderer know, that despite Durin being an adult dragon, old enough to be considered one at least, to Zhongli it’s like calling and 18-20 year old an adult when he himself would theoretically be in his 40s
don’t get me wrong he also feels this way about wanderer. Sometimes he wants to wrap him in a blanket and baby him for 100000000000 years but uh. That’s a grown ass man so he can’t.
it gets kinda worse with durin though because he like,,, triggers his instincts or smth. Like. Oh. Oh he’s so little. He smells so young…
but he can’t like. Be weird with him because both wanderer and Durin would look at him like he’s insane.
zhongli doesn't like seafood unless it's chopped up/not visibly seafood-shaped -> wanderer's signature dish has eel but it's processed to become paste -> i'm connecting the dots

woah another ask,,, this is so cool
they both… know HOW to cook. But they both make very different kinds of food, and of course Wanderer mostly knows how to make older inazuman food but Zhongli isn’t a very big fan of those kinds of dishes so he mostly cooks. Wanderer doesn’t mind because 1. He doesn’t actually have to eat and 2. He just likes tasting new things anyways. Most of the time they go out to eat though, upon Wanderers request most of the time. When you talk to him in the tea pot he says that he likes eating with big groups of people to watch them struggle socially. Wanderer would LOVE thanksgiving is what I’m saying. Zhongli likes forcing Wanderer to try all his favorite foods and as long as he doesn’t have to eat fish he’s fine with most meals. Erm yeah
