Hi. My name is... hm, for the time being, let’s say my name is F.F. until I work out the pen name situation. 

I am a wanderlust aesthetic who wandered a little too far into the depths of reality and the mundane throughout the years causing me to lose a bit of my shimmer. 

So here I am - shattered, broken, earnest, willing, ready and able - to start again on this journey of “writing down the bones” (shout-out to Natalie Goldberg) through this Tumblr. I have been lurking about for the past week or so, and have been so incredibly inspired by how intensely welcoming and encouraging the writing community is here alone. Not to mention, the full visual aesthetic hard-on from the art pieces and creative photography on my feed. 

To ease myself back into the writing process, along with this Tumblr, I will also begin writing again in my journal - something about the tangible connection to writing helps - whether it’s the rhythmic stroke of the keys or the ink blots along the side of my hand and fingertips. I figure it might also be a good exercise to start using some of the visual posts I have seen on here as writing eggs. Does anyone else out there in the writer’s Tumblr-verse do this? Where else do you find inspiration? 

So thank you, Tumblr! Here’s to a new beginning to an old friendship - a not so typical beginning - to my journey to fall back in love with the creative process.
