4. What’s your favourite scene?
I'll cheat a bit with this since there is different adaptations!
Overall favorite novel scene: When Wei Wuxian licks his own lips after he kisses Lan Wangji that first time himself. I think it is honestly the biggest hint towards his own feelings and pining he had kept on the back burner in his mind for years coming right up front finally because there really is nothing holding him back from acting on his instinct.
Favorite donghua scene: When they're sitting in the pavilion going up the stairs of Jinlintai and it pans to Lan Wangji. The way it fully closes in on Wei Wuxian's attentions and focus towards him and everything else around just becoming softer and less aware aside from just Lan Wangji to him.
Favorite CQL scene: The very end when he hears Lan Wangji's voice! Again that whole focus that is placed on Lan Wangji being where and who he belongs with and the rest of the world fading out to that softeness and right Wei Wuxian feels being with him alone.
Favorite Manghua scene: The bathtub scene when they kiss and Wei Wuxian's attention narrows down to Lan Wangji not just visually but now physically.
(I'm sure you can see the pattern here with each of these favorites lol)
Audio drama: The odd one out! And it is Lan Wangji taking A-Yuan to see the rabbits and them talking about the carrots and the bunnies eating them. I think it showcases very well that Lan Wangji is so much more than an assumed cold exterior and is a wonderful loving individual that children orbit towards for a reason.
