They met in 2005 when Elise was an intern, he also worked at BBC News (his job/position at the network is up to you), and they fell in love rather quickly, tying the knot a year later. He’s extremely charming and initially saw Elise as ‘the woman’ for him, in hopes that she’d tie him down and rid him of his playboy ways. They were happy for quite a while until he got that itch again, his wandering eye getting the better of him. He began having affairs on the side while his wife was completely oblivious to the whole thing and even people at their work knew all about it, which was how Elise found out about his infidelity in the first place. Of course, she was heartbroken by it and filed for divorce just after their 10th wedding anniversary. They have now been divorced for 5 years and Elise is only just starting to move on from it. Whether or not he still works at the BBC, or is somewhere else is up to you. There’s a lot of creative freedom with this role, so feel free to take him in whichever direction you’d like.
