Mesmeric Revelation (with Kirie and Amaexur ? )
Drabble Prompts - Edgar Allan Poe edition: Mesmeric Revelation:
enlightening, wonderment, universe.
Amaexur was not entirely sure as to how it happened, but in a way he was starting to become fond of this girl, while she was a human, and he’d been told to stay away from them, they’re just cattle, they’re just life force, what made demons into the disgusting beings they are, he had to admit that she did not fit any of the descriptions he’d learned about humans.
For one, books mostly mentioned humans living in families, sometimes large, sometimes small, but usually they would not wander alone in solitude, but this girl was different, and it spiked some curiosity in the otherwise emotionless devil. In a sense, it was like discovering a completely different world, which was somewhat understandable, he’d never really had much contact with humans anyway.
Her own universe was so much different than his, as well, and the bits that were similar- those demons copied from humans and Amaexur could not understand- had a bit more of charm and life, burning souls that lived very few years, yet could still tell thousands of stories if they wished. Unless the simple, monotone life of a demon, coated in what humans themselves would call ‘negative’ or ‘wrong’.
Amaexur may not be good at talking, if anything he despised it, but he did enjoy listening about the wonders of her world, what the girl had to say, and while, yes, she was probably not fond of him at first, understandably so, the fact that she’d seemed to grow used to him (just as he grew used to her) became oddly comforting, therefore she earned his attention every time she wanted to talk about her world, whether it be a mundane activity humans do, or the disasters mother nature brought under her cold hands.
Enlightening, interesting, having a new take on life and move aside the purpose he was made for, war, was completely strange to him, but he could always, wordlessly, thank her for showing him this new perspective.
