Katsura through the series (fanart), part 13
43. From the Kintama arc. Zura and Hasegawa break free from the fake memories and turn on Kintoki.
44. Cursed Kotatsu lesson. They're going to slander Takasugi on social media...!
45. This volume contains the fantastic Courtesan of a Nation Arc, one of the best Gintama arcs ever... but sadly, Katsura is only seen in this one flashback panel and nowhere else. 😢
stasis is a rather cruel thing, no matter the circumstance. total stasis is impossible, necessarily it is a local stasis. but such a thing simply shreds its target at the edges. even and especially a neurotic arrangement begging to be preserved will result in this sort of shredding, as the locality is frozen solid, and everything around it keeps moving. severed from its context, when the locality thaws, all that will be left will be intact, dead fragments - presence-ghosts. even if some function remains, the context that required it is gone, and so are the references to it. the rest of the structure has lost track of this cold hermit organ. all that remains for it is to run and yell. SEE ME. SEE MY SEVERED LIMBS. HEAR MY FOSSIL SCREAM. what a hideously/beautifully dysfunctional thing to do to a living system.
Pearlnet ABSOLUTELY swept my poll earlier, so chibi war era Pearlnet! I’m working on doing more backgrounds, so surprise, now there’s a sakura tree.
