Milwaukee Anti-war Committee:
Join us in protesting the Wisconsin Defense Industry Council on Tuesday, May 13. Meet us at the Pewaukee Park & Ride at 12:30 pm. While the U.S. uses tax payer money to spread destruction and bloodshed across the globe, CEOs of defense contractors profit. Wisconsin doesn’t need more defense contracts! Wisconsin needs peace manufacturing! No WDIC! No genocide jobs!
I know that there is "no ethical consumption under captialism" and therefpre there is no ethical production so you shouldnt bash the average employee of mc donalds who is flipping burgers for a living despite how shitty mc donalds as a company is for example and thats cool and fine. But there is a difference between your average wallmark clerk/mc donalds burger flipper to someone who is actively working producing stuff that is directly harmful/intended to cause harm, like I can still sympathize with a scientist or engineer or whatever that is making a neutral techonlogical advance that can be aoplied to our daily lifes in positive ways but sadly can be used to war and other horrendous shit (like internet, satelites and to some extent vehicles in general), but I dont shed a single shed of sympathy for people directly making actual fucking war machines and weapons. "Oh booohoo im an engineer working at a big company gaining immensely more than the average worker in my country but I make weapons and that make me sad : (" JUST FUCKING LEAVE DUDE WTF unless you are sabotaging the shit you are making or gatherring evidence ah la corporate espionage to fuck this company just leave dude, go work at somewhere else even if it pays worse if thats agaisnt your moral code jesus
