Maybe i'm too woke but I genuinely don't understand how people can be interested in war history and then claim to be apolitical...everything about the military— about war is political. Who determines when we go to war and when war ends? Politicians. Why are troops even fighting? To protect some dude in an office's ass because their lips were too loose or they just wouldn't share the fucking oil. Alternatively, wars of independence, why are they fought? Cause some idiot decides they wanna occupy someone else's country and oppress the indigenous people there. It is ALL political. So I have a hard time understanding how you can be apolitical and interested in ANY war media. Maybe this is too woke of me.

sometimes having a special interest in war makes me loose track of time. what do you mean i watched both versions of all quiet on the western front, the modern six triple eight, the ww2 movie life is beautiful, and bought the book "outlaw platoon" all in maybe three months. and i still have a craving for more war media.
