Discovered the Inquisition war table operation “Investigate the Strange Chalk Markings” is directly referencing the devouring storm orb guys in Veilguard, which is given to the Inquisition by Bull. So the Ben-Hassrath knew over ten years ago about a cult of some sort revolving around the “Devouring Storm”. They also knew about Fen’harel before the Inquisition did. They also specifically sent an agent they knew was compromised to investigate the Breech… They also had the Arishok send a mission to investigate the 5th Blight. Sten took ALL his information back to the Qun.

The Qunari may be the only hope for Thedas because they’re the only ones willing to follow leads about “crazy Elvhen nonsense”. The Blight, Kirkwall, Inquisition… then the entire Qun breaks entirely by Veilguard. Having Taash take in the deserting Antaam may be the most important event in the post-Blight era of Thedas.

Even the Evanuris avoided the North, the “void”, which makes me think that the Veil was only created around Thedas and whatever the world was like before Solas trapped the Evanuris, it is still like that there. Bull says he highly doubts that the ancestors of the Qunari race looked anything like his people. It could also explain the Qun’s pure lack of tolerance for any magic; they came from a place without the Veil, to the relative safety of it, which to me suggests that original Qunari may have been oppressed by whatever rules the “Void”.

The Circles are a result of fear of mages, but from the religious standpoint that mages are children of the Maker and have the right to live. The Qun doesn’t have this religious context, so their brutality towards magic users is all the more extreme because even the Qunari mages think they’re better off chained. Tevinter didn’t do that. Tevinter may have seemed like the expanding human threat at an existence they’d fled, making magic users more of a risk.

But yeah, the Qun is involved in all this…
