Story:

Interestingly enough, Warblerkit had nothing particularly intriguing happen during his kithood or apprenticeship. In fact, he wasn’t even hot-headed then.

There were protests when the young Ripplestar gave him his warrior name, claiming that ‘moon’ was not something they could use, as it was too close to the Moonstone.

Ripplestar had disagreed, asking what was better than a warrior with a name Starclan themselves respected? But if Warblermoon wanted a different name, so be it. Filled with pride, Warblermoon refused to change it.

No one was more supporting of Warblermoon than his mother and best friend. Leafsun had always put in extra care for her only kit since her mate and his father died the day following his birth. She had to-- she was loving him for two parents.

When she died, Warblermoon was overcome with a rage he had never thought possible for anyone to feel. His mother, his best friend, his world, slain in a simple skirmish. 

Ripplestar promised him, and the entire Clan, revenge, and he gave them just that. Over and over, they fought battle after battle. Warblermoon always made sure to be at the front of it, no matter his exhaustion or how many lives Ripplestar was losing. 

He felt no guilt when Brightwing’s blood spilled over his claws, or when it was later reported that Swallowcall and Curlear would have permanent injuries due to a certain Shadowclan warrior’s vicious and unfair attack. He was gleeful. A thousand lives would not equal the loss of Leafsun!

When he got an apprentice, he made sure to shake all the protests out of him. If Ripplestar wanted a battle, a simple ‘paw shouldn’t refuse.

He followed Ripplestar without question, not when the senior warriors or medicine cats protested, not even when Ripplestar lead them into battle at a gathering.

Perhaps he should not have been so eager. Distracted as he watched Ripplestar fall, he was too slow to block the claws from reaching his neck.

Additional Information:

--Remember when I said ‘next bio will mention a canon cat’? Well I may or may not have forgotten about that, so here they are now!

--Might make more sense if you read whatever short had Ripplestar in it. But basically he was very battle-thirsty, losing a lot of lives even though he was still young, and lead his Clan into battle at a gathering, where he died from falling off of the Great Rock after attacking another leader on it. Or maybe he was struck by lightning? Either way, I’m pretty sure he fell.

--Ripplestar used Leafsun’s death to manipulate his Clan’s grief into wanting to fight. I’m sure more cats died because of him, causing more cats to want to fight.

--While not ‘illegal’ to slay in battle, Warblermoon went decidingly far, not listening to a medicine cat + fighting at a gathering + teaching an apprentice bad life lessons (Starclan knew it wasn’t just from listening to Ripplestar-- he wanted to cause harm).

--Felt like Ripplestar would 100% give someone the ‘moon’ suffix just to piss cats off.

--The top scar isn’t noticeably bleeding because it’s not as deep
